Vacations and Schedules

August is almost upon us and while we are in recess, we are not out of touch! We will not indeed be worshipping for the month, changing up our Sunday morning routines as always. We will regather for worship on September 6 and have a more celebratory restarting of the church year on the following Sunday once everyone is returned from their Labor Day festivities.
This year I am leaving town on Tuesday, July 20 so that I can attend my mom's 90th birthday party in Michigan. I will return on Saturday, July 25 and be with you the following day for our last Sunday before the August recess.
After a week spent cleaning up after the tag sale, and getting some of the projects which we approved at our July 12 special meeting, Erin and I are heading out to Maine on August first to our usual mid-coast stomping grounds for a bit of R&R, cycling and beaching. I will be back in the office on the 18th to begin planning the August 22 memorial service for Jemma Halter.
Betsy is taking this first week of August off as well, so Deb Utton has graciously offered to come in to the church office to check messages and pickup the mail. She will be in contact with me as well if anything comes up.
