Williston Pie Sales

Lesley Clark, Erin Magill, Kristen and Wyatt Wolf, Wynne and Taite Plagge and Gary Winnie Peeling apples Thursday night!

On Friday, September 30 at the Northbound and Southbound rest areas in Williston, 8 volunteers sold pies all day to tourists and locals alike, making $988.
We’ll do it all over again next Friday.  We hope to have a few more volunteers (two per shift at each site, and hopefully, if we get enough volunteers, shifts of 3 hours).
In order to prepare 120 pies to sell on Friday, we also need your help  next Thursday  October 6.  The pie pastry dough was made and frozen ahead of time, so the only work will consist of peeling and cutting apples, mixing the apples with sugar, flour and spices, rolling out the dough, filling and baking — all of which can be done by anyone with two hands!
Please help.  Two or even five people will not be able to do the job.  You can just show up, though it would set our minds at eases if you would either the church or use this link to sign up.
Work will start at 3:30 pm.  You are welcome to come when you can, and leave when you must!
Thank you!
Chicken Pie Supper slash Cook off
Please put this event on your calendar!  October 14. We now have a signup live for this event too.  Thank you so much to all who signed up when the clipboard went around last week. I know we don’t really like clipboards in worship, but the sooner the slots are filled, the sooner we don’t pass them around.  Here’s the link for the signup for the Chicken Pie Supper.
The meal will be from 5 to 7 pm.  It’s a cook-off because this year we’ve invited several local restaurants to submit an entry for judging!  The winner will receive a rubber chicken award designed by Ned David!
Please bring a friend!  Dinner costs $12 for adults and $7 for children.
