The church is holding a Silent Auction Fundraising event in May (possible dates are May 18 or 20) and we need your help! The idea is to collect donations from church members and hold an evening event with the items on display, where everyone has the chance to bid (on paper) for their favorite items – highest bid takes the item home.
Here are some ideas for items to donate; tickets to a show; a round of golf; vacation rental; hand crafted items such as quilts; sweaters; or Christmas decorations; musical instrument lessons; home-cooked meals delivered to your door; services such as lawn mowing or snow shoveling. Or get together with friends and create a themed basket such as ‘coffee lovers’; kids games; gardener’s tools; etc.
We will also have food and music at the event so let us know if you want to contribute in that way.
Look for the silent auction table at coffee time right after church over the next few weeks where you can sign up to donate an item. Or call or email Jill or June with any questions.
