Youth Sunday

On June 9 (at 10 am!) we’ll close out the church school year with a guest story-teller. Simon Brooks uses stories from all sorts of traditions from African to Native American to talk about caring for our world. Our children have spent the last year, off and on, talking about ways we can take care of the environment and our communities. They’ve created compost and planted seeds, watched worms at work and talked about ways creatures, from trees to humans, are connected and dependent on one another.

As has been our tradition, we take the time on Youth Sunday to recognize our graduating first graders, at one end, and at the other, our graduating high school seniors.

We’ll also honor our teachers who helped so much over the past year — and yes, we’ll celebrate Tom and honor his 11 years of ministry among us. I do hope you’ll be able to join us for this special and important day.
